HOW TUFT WORKS

“THE TUFT APPROACH IS ESPECIALLY RELEVANT IN TODAY’S NONPROFIT ENVIRONMENT, WHERE DILIGENCE, SCRUTINY, AND GOOD GOVERNANCE ARE ORGANIZATIONAL PRIORITIES.” — JILL CHRISTIE

At Tuft & Associates, we take our work seriously. We’re proud of our successful and long-term placements of outstanding leaders and professionals in partnership with many distinguished client organizations.

CORE PRINCIPLES

We follow a time-tested strategy that can be tailored to unique client needs. We conduct thorough candidate searches and detailed reference checks, provide significant support in salary and contract negotiations, design on-boarding and transition plans. We ensure that every recruitment process is exhaustive, systematic, fairly managed, and open to inspection.

TEAM APPROACH

We combine our team talents for a comprehensive knowledge base. The lead search consultant directs every step of each engagement to ensure a positive client experience.

TIMELY RESULTS

We work with you to establish a realistic timeline. The benchmark for a typical search is about 90 to 120 days.

CLEAR PARTNERSHIP

As your retained search firm, Tuft & Associates is authorized to act as your exclusive agent for the search. We ask members of client organizations to:

  • Clearly specify areas of confidentiality.
  • Provide prompt feedback on reactions to candidates, scheduling of interviews, and making a final decision.
  • Share information with us about candidates you may have identified from other sources and forward to us any resumes from potential candidates who may contact you.
  • Provide requested information to candidates about your institution.

SERVICE GUARANTEE

We guarantee our services. If the selected candidate should leave the job within a time determined with each client due to voluntary resignation or termination based on performance, we will undertake a second search with no additional fee, if requested in writing within three months of termination/resignation.
