Search underway for the Executive Director of the American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association (ACPA), a 501(c)3 professional organization of healthcare professionals who treat and/or perform research on oral cleft and craniofacial conditions. The Executive Director is the chief staff executive for the American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association (ACPA) and is responsible for overseeing the governance, administration, programs and strategic plan for the organization. Other key duties include fundraising, marketing, family services and organizational/community outreach. The position reports to the ACPA Board of Directors. The Executive Director promotes the interests of patients, families and providers who are involved with cleft lip, cleft palate and craniofacial anomalies and implementing efforts to realize the mission of the Association.
This position requires a visionary and committed individual who will serve as the voice and face of a professionally diverse and highly skilled membership organization. The ideal candidate will be a distinguished executive,with extensive experience with a national or international medical society. He/She will be a strategic visionary leader and an articulate and polished professional. The Executive Director must be an agile learner, able to deal with ambiguity, and able to quickly adapt to new challenges in a post-COVID world. Candidates with established networks across the full health ecosystem are preferred. Prior experience leading a membership organization and/or non-profit organization is desirable.An advanced degree is desirable and a CAE or FACHE designation is considered a plus.
